This is the chat thread. Chat threads can only be opened by staff memebers. There are still a few rules:

• No random spamming like "OMGZ CHZZ"
• All forum rules still apply

The Hi-Lighter Forum Rules

Registration:

HL allows each user to only have one account. This is because multiple accounts make things very confusing for the community, and sadly, many use them to troll or avoid forum punishments. If an alternate account is found, the alt will be banned and the original given a lengthy suspension. If the alt was used to avoid a punishment, both accounts will be banned.

Hi-Lighter Forums does not allow proxies to be used for registration purposes. This is mainly because many people, sadly, use them to troll the forums. It is however permitted to use them to access existing accounts.

Sharing accounts is forbidden as it is an annoyance to members and staff. If there are two people on the same computer using HL, use different accounts.

HL Forums does not guarantee our members the right to change their username. We therefore advise you to pick a name you are comfortable with. Make sure the username you pick is appropriate. Inappropriate usernames will be changed by the staff to whatever we see fit.

Posting:

Please post civilly and respectfully. This means absolutely no flaming or trolling or engaging in any other offensive behavior outside of FTD(see below).

Spamming is also not allowed. Even in forum games. Every post you make should in some way relate to the topic at hand and have some content above 2 words.

Double posting is also not allowed. This is because posting several times in a row makes a topic tough to get through when the same user has posted ten times in a row. Simply use the edit feature if you want to change something.

Proper grammar and spelling should also be exercised. While we?re not going to go off on you for a random mistake or an occasional ?lol? or ?thx?, but please do not type like this:

FTD:

FTD is a place for fun, some trolling, arguing, even flaming. Normal forum rules do not apply here, except the one about spamming. We know that sometimes you just need to yell, so we?re providing you a place for it. However, what goes on here stays here. Keep the taint of FTD away from other forums.

Disciplinary Action:

In the event of rule breaking, disciplinary action most likely take place. HL uses a variety of actions, including but are not limited to:

Warning
Suspending
Banning

Sometimes to bridge gaps between those three normal actions, we may do things such as change your username, profile, or even the language you see the forum in.
